SINTESIS NANOPARTIKEL MRGO UNTUK APLIKASI ADSORPSI LOGAM BERAT PADA LIMBAH CAIR
Abstract
Abstract
Telukjambe Timur District is a densely industrial area. One of the industrial estates in Karawang is the Karawang International Industrial Center (KIIC) which is already on an international scale. Industry has both positive and negative impacts. The negative impact is one of the environmental pollution by heavy metals. Heavy metals dissolved in liquid waste are dangerous to the environment, human life and other organisms. Adsorption method is an effort to overcome pollution. Adsorption is a method of separation and purification that is widely used, easy, efficient and low cost. Adsorbents Nanoparticle-based are adsorbents that have a particle size smaller than 1 micron and potentially as small as an atom with a molecular length of about 0.2 nm. Adsorbents Nanoparticle-based for dealing with heavy metals using magnetic reduced graphene oxide (MRGO). Characterization of MRGO nanoparticle material using a Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) spectrometer and AAS (Atomic Adsorption Spectroscopy). The specific purpose of this study is the synthesis and characterization of MRGO nanoparticles which can be used as heavy metal absorbent materials. The benefits of this research are expected to be the basis of solutions for the development of materials for heavy metal absorber applications to reduce pollution or industrial waste pollution. The results of this study, the content of Fe waste before adding magnetic nanoparticles was 166.80 mg / L. Meanwhile, after adding magnetic nanoparticles decreased to 0.19 mg / L. The addition of rGO tends to further reduce Fe levels in the waste that is equal to 0.08 mg / L.
